EXCLUSIVE: Kriti Sanon on turning producer for Do Patti; says, “It’s not as easy as a task, it can take a toll”

Kriti Sanon is an actress who works in Hindi and Telugu-language films. She has received a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards. Kriti appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list of 2019. After pursuing a degree in engineering, Sanon briefly worked as a fashion model. She began her acting career by playing the leading lady in the 2014 in Heropanti. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Kriti Sanon speaks on turning a producer for her film Do Patti.

Speaking about her journey as a first-time producer, Kriti Sanon said, “It’s amazing, yeah. It’s amazing to just get into every part of the process of filmmaking. I think I remember, you know, now when I look back, like during Heropanti, when I came on set, I was like this curious child on the set who was like, ‘Yeh nakli hai?’, ‘Yeh mombatti hai?’, ‘Yeh kiya hai’. And I didn’t know what was real and what wasn’t.”

Sanon added, “So yes, I was that curious kid who was just fascinated with every aspect of filmmaking. How the film gets made, every scene that goes off in 1 minute takes hours, and sometimes even a day to make that scene. And I think today, like after a decade, just being as excited as every aspect of filmmaking and now getting to get involved in it. You know to see beyond just the lens of an actor; I think that’s been satisfying. So I’ve had a lot of fun. Also, I understood that it is not as easy as a task; it can take a toll. Every little detail matters a lot, and for a producer, the film is there with you till the end till you, you know, put it out.”
